The Dayton Area Psychological Association (DAPA) is a nonprofit incorporated in the State of Ohio.
The purpose of this Association is to support the study and practice of psychology, so as to promote human welfare in the Dayton Area. The association serves as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas. It provides a means of continuing education in the profession of psychology and encourages ethical standards of practice. We would love to see you at our next workshop!
The DAPA board is a group of psychologists who volunteer their time to serve other psychologists in the Miami Valley. We meet monthly and are always looking for new members!
WHAT WE DO

Our signature event, Rock the Stigma, is September 10, 2022! We are raising funds to increase the availability of mental health services in the Dayton Area. Join Ben & Pete at Lucky Star Brewery this September!

We are approved by the Ohio Board of Psychology as a CEU Provider.

Each year we participate in the Dayton Autism Society’s Annual 5K Walk/Run and AFSP Out of Darkness Walk!

JOB POSTINGS
The Department of Psychology at the University of Dayton invites you to apply for one of our two Lecturer positions to begin on August 16, 2023. These are nine-month, full time positions which are renewable annually. Primary expectations include contributing to the undergraduate teaching needs of the Department and advising and mentoring undergraduate students. While the successful candidates should be prepared to support a wide range of courses, the courses to be offered each semester will be determined in consultation with the chair of the Department of Psychology. The position is eligible for benefits. Additionally, successful candidates who serve for six years or more are eligible to be considered for non-tenure track promotion in accordance with the university’s recently implemented lecturer promotion policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
ABD in Psychology nearing completion
Successful experience teaching at the college level
Potential to teach one or more of the following courses at the undergraduate level: Introductory psychology, statistics, research methods, integrative social science methods, and courses in the applicant's area of specialty
Effective written communication skills
