According to the Dayton Area Psychological Association (DAPA) bylaws, eligibility for membership is defined as:

• Member: If you have a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology (or a substantially equivalent degree), or you hold a valid Ohio license as a psychologist or school psychologist. 

• You must also be “above reproach” in your ethical and professional conduct. 

• Affiliate: People who are not licensed psychologists in Ohio but are either (a) psychology students or (b) persons whom the board believes would advance the association’s mission. 

• Retiree: Those who previously held DAPA membership or an active license in psychology but have since retired.
